She's here!

On Friday, October 21st at 11:36pm Audrey Lynn graced us with her presence. According to my November 1st due date, she was born at 38 weeks 3 days by going into labor naturally on Thursday. I think she ran out of room and was ready to move on to something bigger and better. I didn't get the chance to take a 38 week picture (I was actually planning on doing it the weekend she arrived!) but here I am at 37 weeks. Try to tell me she wasn't about to bust out of there....

The little Miss took me by slight surprise. At my appointment on Tuesday my doctor told me that Audrey didn't look like she was coming any time soon. Ooops! That's okay, I still love my doctor and am so happy that I get to work with her so our "relationship" isn't over.

And now, introducing Acorn, Hummingbird Hippopotamus, Audrey Lynn

I know that my opinion is ever so slightly biased but I think she's pretty darn cute. And luckily "pushing" didn't take too long so she didn't have a ridiculous cone shaped head.

I will admit though, that even though I think she is positively adorable, I did cry at one point because she has none of my physical features. Wait, I take that back. She has TWO cowlicks on the back of her head that she gets from me. She'll love me for her hair never being able to lay flat.  It's a stupid thing for me to be so sad about but I just can't help it!
Maybe she'll get freckles...I can only hope she does. I want her to have some resemblance of me.
